Andrea's Artistic Home filled with History
I first discovered Andrea Granger on Instagram when she started posting about her house in January of this year (2017), her first post literally stopped me in my tracks. You can find her as @hunt.and.scavenge.She has rapidly gained over 20k followers, due to the stunning design of her home which features many pieces collected over years, giving it a sense of history.
She has collected some simply amazing artwork, and created a colourful and playful home. Each square is filled with detail and is a feast for the eyes and as an artist, Andrea also painted the "wallpaper" that you can see in her hallway below, a talent that I am insanely jealous of. Andrea's ability to give her home such a unique design yet retain its cosiness is an incredible talent to have.
In her own words, here is an introduction to Andrea.
Introduction
"A born creative; I've always known that art and design were my calling. I'm a full-time artist/stay at home mom to two kiddos; Matilda and Magnus, have been married to the handiest man I know for 11 years. A voracious reader who paints when life allows the time. Passionate about design, vintage one of a kind pieces and curating homes/spaces which tell a story. My dream job would be to curate a dusty old museum full of odd relics. An old soul to the core."
So, I hope you can see why I am more than a little in love with this home. Like me, Andrea likes to collect and bring a sense of history into her home, something I talk about in my blog on creating a maximalist space.
Thanks so much for sharing your home Andrea.
