Accessorize Launch First Ever Wallpaper Collection
Wallpaper. After pervading the home decor trends in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, wallpaper became the stuff of our parents’ and our grandparents’ decor. It wasn’t cool-by all definitions, it was not something you would ever consider decorating your home with.
But in 2018, something changed. Wallpaper has made a comeback and it is bold and bright and full of pattern or a hint of nostalgia and just a touch of whimsy on occasion. Bold wallpaper encompasses tropical wallpaper, botanical-inspired wallpaper or iconic prints. Florals are also back with a bang. So are geometric prints. Texture also features heavily for the best wallpaper options for 2019, helping to create an interesting, cosy environment in your home. If anything, our collective shift suggests that wallpaper will probably be around in the late 2010s and early 2020s the same way it did the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. It will be high on the list of most decorators’ wish list well into the next few years, with many updated designs coming onto the market.
And so, I come onto the newest entrant to the market place, Accessorize; the label best known for fashion have just launched their first ever wallpaper collection and it encompasses many of the themes I have just discussed above. All designs have been created using signature Accessorize prints, recoloured and reimagined in some cases to reflect key interior trends and colours.
There are four vibrant florals and tropical designs, bang on trend for 2019: the Camden Brick Floral, Amelie, Birds of Paradise and Maui wallpapers.
There is also a Camden Brick design to complement its floral design.
Hugely on trend for both fashion and interiors, animal print has been introduced to the collection as a modern neutral in muted grey and greige, both mixed with metallic silver, in the exclusive Savannah design.
The Mozambique range features an artisan woodblock-print design in four key colours paired with on-trend metallics. The leaf design comes in grey and metallic rose, navy and rose gold, ochre and silver, and off-white and gold colour options.
Completing the collection is the Celeste wallpaper (below and main image at the top of this post)– a beautiful floral design featuring lotus flowers in two popular colourways: blush and off-white.
Accessorise wallpaper is available to buy from selected retailers, including https://www.worldofwallpaper.com and https://www.wallpaperdirect.com with an RRP of £30 per roll.
